Last night was the Halloween Night special at Disneyland Paris, and as usual, many people were there all dressed in Halloween costumes. I didn't attend the event as the weather yesterday in Paris was really too terrible, but here is some pictures shoot two years ago of Benoit and Marie Laurence, and i think they deserves the title of "best themed costumes".
Some others costumes may look more scary of course, but i think that Benoit and Marie Laurence costumes - a perfect tribute to Phantom Manor's bride and her unfortunate lover are really great!
On the top, Marie Laurence is on Main Street's with the Halloween eerie lighting, and below, Benoit and her are standing in front of the Manor.
They also had the good idea to took some pictures inside Phantom Manor, in the portrait hall. The photographer sent to me a new version of the photo with a special Photoshop "ghostly" effect!
And this picture with Marie laurence standing in front of the bride portrait show how good their themed costumes were!

Hello all. Here the last news from Disneyland Paris! Not a lot of text today, but lot of great pictures. However, we will begin by the Walt Disney studios where the hollywood hills - with the famous “hollywood” letters - appear last week!
At the end of the - very small - “hollywood blvrd “ which is part of the new production courtyard placemakin, two backdrop were expected, and here they are, now. Both are showing hollywood hills and it seems that the imagineers had the good idea to choose giant photo of the real “hills” rather to have a false painted one. We have to wait until the end of the works to judge if it was really a good idea or not , but my first feeling is that they’re right.
The guests will have to go through a kind of tunnel under the first backdrop to access on the other side where is located the tram tour station.
Painting is going on on the other buildings, but some signs were adeed at this one below, which is supposed to be a hotel decor.....in fact totally - or almost - flat , as i said last time. All the works have to be finished for november 15th, and, once again the Tower of terror will open to all december 22.
Meanwhile , in the first - and gorgeous park - the Halloween season is almost everywhere, specially in Main Street and Frontierland.
The Halloween sign under Main street station is not the same than last year.
As well as many “pumpkin men” along main street - and little ghosts. Here is a best-of of some of them.
As always, Frontierland got the biggest part of the Halloween decor. I show you last time some of them, here is more decor, right from the entrance of the fort...
...to Phantom Manor
One of the new idea this year is these giant walking witches, everybody was impressed!
Some other witch of a more regular size was entertaining the guests in front of Frontierland stores.
Talking about witches, the former “cartoonish” withches of last year have been removed in the back of Frontierland - in the Cowboy cookout barbecue area, in what is called now the “Witches Academy” .
A stage where dancers and orchestra performs several times a day is there, too.
Other pumpkin men can be seen all around the way towards Frontierland station.

As i am in Paris and not in Hong Kong, here is a "Disney" description on this new annual event at HKD: "The spectral energy at Hong Kong Disneyland has reached a fervent level, as the Park launch the Haunted Halloween, a totally immersive and intense never-before-seen Halloween experience that will take guests to the edge of their sanity and back again, from September 25 until October 31, 2007.
A premier concept among all Disney theme parks, the Haunted Halloween combines avant-garde technology with rich Halloween tales. The Dark World and its characters will come to life in highlights such as, the Main Street Haunted Hotel, the Glow in the Park Halloween Parade and Space Mountain – Ghost Galaxy

This hair-raising parade will undergo a complete transformation under mysterious UV lights and reveal frightening Halloween surprises along the way. I must add that the floats looks terrific, the Jack Skellington animatronic - or "puppetronic"? - is fantastic. Also , it's the first time that a float is dedicated to the laboratory of this NBC character that i've forgot the name. The villains float looks great, too.
The Main Street Haunted Hotel is the first ever walk-through haunted house in a Disney theme park. You probably know that the first concept of the Haunted mansion was supposed to be a walk-through. Finally, it ended to be the ride we know, but today, the Hong Kong Disneyland guests can really walk-through in a Haunted house - probably because the Haunted mansion doesn't exist yet in the park - it will in the future.
"As the edgiest walk-through Haunted Hotel experience ever presented by a Disney theme park, living haunts and specters will appear around ever corner of this hotel. A Hollywood class production team created this thrilling attraction filled with eye-opening scene settings, audio and theatrical effects and spooky show direction. With multiple heart pounding scenarios, Guests will creep fearfully through this once graceful and elegant hotel that has not seen the light of day for a century!"

As usual there is great Halloween merchandise and if you're a big fan of Nightmare before Christmas, you'll find a lot of themed merchandise about it in the shops of the park
